I have been in love with the Volkswagen type 2 since 1982, when as a college student, I told my mother (to her great dismay), that I was going to buy a bus so she would not have cart me around any more.  I had been turned on to busses by a friend who told me stories of how easy it was to pull the engine among other things.  Without ever driving a bus, I knew it was the vehicle for me.  So that started me on my bus adventure, and what an adventure it has been.  The buses became a integral part of my life (and housing accommodations) up until I got married, started working full time, and bought a house.  The busses took a back seat for a while, but things in life change, and after a divorce, selling the house, and the cat leaving, I decided to go back to busses full time.  So I saved up enough money to spend all my time working on achieving my "dream bus".
